SORONA Fiber is derived naturally. The fiber core PDO is derived from the plant starch glucose, not petroleum. Using 37% plant-based materials, Sorona fiber provides a more sustainable lifestyle. Fiber structure:

Glucose is obtained from corn seeds. Under the action of genetically modified bacteria, it is fermented to produce PDO (1,3 propylene glycol). After distillation, PDO is purified and dehydrated. SORONA fiber can be prepared by SORONA slicing after adding PTA (p-penthalic acid) reaction. It can give the knitted fabric a soft feel, with good stretch and resilience, easy dyeing at normal temperature and pressure, bright and lasting color, and chlorine/UV resistance and stain resistance and easy care characteristics.
